AREA Science Park to be present at DOMUS PERSONA!

AREA Science Park is to participate in Domus Persona, and will be present at the Fiera Trieste from 15 to 18 April 2010! AREA is Italy’s foremost multisectoral science and technology park and one of the leaders at European level, as well as a top-level national public research body recognised in 2005 by MIUR, Italy’s ministry for universities and research.

Today, the Park is home to 83 institutions and enterprises, including a number of international centres such as Sincrotrone Elettra, ICGEB and ICS. The wide range of research, development and innovation activities are carried out in areas such as biotechnologies and diagnostics, chemistry and biochemistry, electronics and industrial automation, new materials, IT and multimedia systems, biomedical technologies, and telecommunications. These are sectors that are set to be main-players of Domus Persona.

AREA Science Park is also one of the most active bodies at both regional and national level in promoting technology transfer, and acts as a hub for the development and management of innovation strategies, both in the business world and in local government contexts. AREA is also striving to pursue these activities internationally, with the aim of developing a set of relationships to underpin creation of an organised network of points of excellence.

Domus Persona shares with AREA the common goal of acting as a meeting-place for research, doing business, and high-level training, creating a basic resource for innovation and at the same time contributing to the local area’s economic expansion and growth in employment
